How do the Boosters help?

Each year the Elgin Music Boosters donate thousands of dollars to all the music programs in the Elgin Local School District.

These donations include money for supplies, sheet music, and "open funds" that give the music teachers money they can spend in any way they desire for the kids in the elementary, middle, and high school programs. We also donate funds for trips and specific music program needs as requested by the music program staff. When the district cannot meet the need, the boosters are always there to step in and support our kids.

The boosters are suppported by someone very important - YOU. We are only successful when we have the support of the student body, their parents, and the community. We want to thank everyone who has supported our efforts in the past - and of course invite you to do so again in the future.

Annual Fund Raising Events

You know the old saying, "Don't mess with tradition." We have found that tradition is a good thing when it comes to fund raising. Our supporters and sponsors have come to know, expect, and enjoy our annual fund raisers.

These traditions include the Spring Harley Raffle, the Fall Magazine Sale, Comet Discount Cards, and Patron Advertising. Other events are added as needed for supporting special trips, special events, and even helping members pay for basic expenses.

Become a Booster!

If you want to donate your time or just see what the boosters are doing, please attend one of our meetings. The boosters meet regularly on the fourth Monday of each month at the high school on weekday evenings, during the school year. Our first meeting is held in August before school begins in order to get our fund raising efforts underway. Our final meeting is normally held in May.
